The Collie Police reported between 1am and 2am on Sunday, May 27, that a white Mercedes Benz camper-van was hot-wired and stolen from the owners’ yard.
Sergeant Terry Townsend said the crime happened on Bickerton Street and the van was locked behind a secured locked gate and was hot-wired to gain vehicle access as the owners had both sets of keys.
The person drove the vehicle into the gate, forcing the gate to open. Police are yet to locate the stolen vehicle. Anyone with information should contact the Collie Police on 9734 6333.
On Thursday, May 24, an attempted burglary occurred in Wallsend Street between 1pm and 3:40pm.
A person attempted to enter the house from the rear window of the games room.
The window was smashed out of its frame and onto the floor. Two dogs on the property spooked the person and they left the scene without taking anything.
On Friday, March 25, a woman shoplifted from Target Country. Sergeant Townsend said employees noticed a lot of price tags torn off items.
Police are looking for any information that could help them charge the woman involved.
Another attempted burglary happened in Coverley Drive on Saturday May 26 between the hours of 10:30am and 1:30pm where someone damaged a front security screen door and forced the screen out of the bracket.
The screen was damaged but the person was unable to get inside.
A burglary occurred at Hodgson Terrace on Saturday, May 26, and Sunday, May 27, between 3pm and 10am.
The intruder entered through the side gate and through the sliding door which was possibly left unlocked, a television, computer and red mountain bike were stolen.
Sergeant Townsend said he would like to remind people to secure their properties when they leave.
On Sunday May 27 there was damage done to the Collie Hospital in the early hours of Sunday morning between 2:35am and 2:40am.
Sergeant Townsend said nurses called police regrading a fight out the front of the hospital near the ambulance doors and at some stage something had hit the lower bit of the ambulance causing it to crack the window.
He said CCTV footage showed one young male on a bicycle and a female adult. Anyone with information should contact the Collie Police on 9734 6333.
On Monday May 28 at 4pm a window was damaged at a property in View Street. A woman witnessed three young males in the area riding their bicycles around the time it occurred.
