Fun day
Head down to Central Park today for a fun day organised by the Collie Family Centre.
From 10am to 1pm, the Collie Family Centre is holding a free sausage sizzle, face painting and a bouncy castle as part of a Mental Health Week activity.
There will be stalls offering support, information and activities.
Curry night
The 2019 CSHS ANZAC Tour Group is holding another curry night this Saturday, from 5.30pm to 8.30pm, at the Energy West Hall.
The cost is $10 per plate, dine in or takeaway.
A bar is available, so no BYO.
Children’s Day
Our Community Garden is running a Children’s Day at the garden on Monday, October 22 from 10am to 12 noon.
There will be heaps of free, fun, nature, messy play-based activities for children.
Bring your own cup or mug, picnic rug or chairs, and enjoy fun in the garden.
Morning tea will be supplied by Our Community Garden.
OGC is holding an Open Day on Saturday, November 3, from 1.30pm to 4pm.

Information session
A free information session will be run by the National Disability Insurance Agency on Wednesday, October 17 from 1pm to 2.30pm.
This will be held in the Library undercroft.
There will be a one hour presentation, followed by time for questions.
People with a disability, family members and carers will benefit from this session.
Think Pink breakfast
The Think Pink breakfast is on again at the Colliefields Hotel on Saturday, October 20.
Doors open at 8am for a fun-filled event to raise awareness of breast cancer, and funds for research.
Champagne will be served on arrival, before a delicious breakfast, guest speakers, games and prizes.
Tickets are available through EventBrite.
Adventure race
The 18th consecutive Adventure Race will be held on October 13 and 14, at Minninup Pool.
While the race is 18 years old, it is only the second year the event will be held over two days.
The Saturday event is the traditional five stage event in a number of categories.
On the Sunday, there will be opportunities for those who may not be elite athletes, with a short course event for trail runners, mountain bikes, and an optional canoe leg.
The Premier Coal Junior Adventure Race will cater for those aged 12 and under.
Fiera
The Collie Italian and Sporting Club is planning a Fiera on Saturday, November 3, from 10am to 2pm.
This event was very successful last year, and you may want to take a bay, at a cost of $15, to sell your goods.
They are expecting lots of market and food stalls, and there will be a car boot sale.

Remembrance Day
This year marks the centenary of the signing of the armistice which ended the Great War.
The Collie-Cardiff RSL is planning to make the 2018 Remembrance Day service a special one, so watch this column as the date, November 11, draws nearer for more details.
Big Fat Quiz
Have you been paying attention to events this year?
The last quiz organised by the Library this year will be held on Saturday, November 24 from 6.30pm.
It will feature questions based on events this year locally, nationally and world wide, in politics, entertainment and pop culture.
The cost is $5 per person, and tables of 4 to 6 can be booked by calling 9734 9042 or on Facebook.
