SOLARGAIN CHAMPIONSHIP TRIPLES
The men held their Solargain Championship Triples on October 14 in inclement weather. Two sections of four were played and after the three games the winner of each section went into the finals. The winners of one section were Ashley Collins, Steve Matthews and Rod Garner. They played Graeme Carter, Rob Ferris and Ron Guilfoyle. Ashley’s team got out to a racing start and never looked back, winning the triples 19 to 9.
Winners: Ashley Collins, Steve Matthews and Rod Garner; Runners-up: Graham Carter, Rob Ferris, Ron Guilfoyle.
MELBOURNE CUP AND SCROUNGERS – October 21
Melbourne Cup on November 6 is coming around quickly, so please nominate for the lunch and game.
Monday, November 5 is the last day to nominate for this day.

Summer scroungers mixed will commence this Sunday, October 21.
Names in by 9.15am to play.

PINE HAULIERS MEAT PACK – October 10
Twenty eight players turned out for the annual Wednesday meat pack. After the two games it was very close between first and second and another 10 shots between second and third. Good bowls were played and enjoyed by all who participated.
Winner: Grahame Old and George Saggers with 4 points plus 16; Second: Brian Bass and Ian Bushell with 4 points plus 15; Third: Rob Ferris and Jim Tyler with 4 points plus 5.
CHEEKY SQUIRREL 100 UP
On Thursday, October 11 the Cheeky Squirrel 100 was completed and some close games were recorded. Good bowls were played and all enjoyed the format.
Maud Taylor presented the winners with their voucher and thank you to Cheeky Squirrel for their sponsorship.
