Crowds filled Forrest Street on Saturday, December 15 as the Lions Club of Collie hosted its annual Christmas Pageant and Markets.
The crowds were amazed by the main attraction of the day, with community groups, sporting clubs and organisations from around town designing floats for the annual parade.
Allanson Primary School won the $500 first prize for the best float in the parade with its bush school float, while the Collie Agricultural Society received a $250 prize for second place with its Spirit of Collie train float promoting the Collie Show.
The Collie PCYC, along with the Batman car and Wilson Park Primary School P&C’s float (which both received awards last year) all received encouragement awards of $200 for their work.
Visitors to the pageant were also treated to live music and food and market stalls, while children were also able to get a photo with Santa in his grotto.
