THE combination of Jim Larsen and John Wray prevailed in last Saturday’s Physio Group South West two-person ambrose event at Collie Golf Club.
Wray’s length off the tee and Larsen’s good putting enabled them to finish on 65 nett, three-quarters of a stroke ahead of Greg Moyle and Trevor McCormick, who also received trophies for their score of 65.75.
The mixed pairing of club captain Graham Williams and Dot Lawrence had 66.75, while there were four pairs on 67.25 – Doug Bayley and Regan Old, Brett Smith and Mick Finlay, Joel Simmonds and Rodney Simmonds, and Joe Italiano and Phil Warburton.
Lesley Motion and Eric Annandale also received vouchers for their nett score of 67.25.
The sad luck story of the day belonged to David Blurton who partnered event sponsor Kyle Hulls. They were three-quarters of a stroke better than the winners but had to settle for $20 vouchers.
DAVID Farr was “far” away in the distance when dominating last week’s Tuesday leisure day stableford.

Novelties were won by Jim Larsen (No. 4), Alan Kent (7), Trevor Graham (9), George Newlands (14) and Jarrad Miller (18).
