There were no Division One winners in last Thursday night’s $80 million lotto draw – meaning this week’s Powerball prize now sits at $100 million.
The massive sum is the equal largest jackpot in Australian history and has only been matched twice before – in 2012 and 2018.
It has been eight consecutive weeks that Powerball’s winning numbers have been unclaimed.
Lotterywest chief executive Susan Hunt said although the multi-million prize pool was still up for grabs, almost 973,000 WA players had picked up a Powerball prize in Divisions Two to Nine over the last eight-week jackpot roll.
“This includes 328,768 WA players who took home a Powerball prize on Thursday night,” she said.
Two of this week’s WA winners each scooped a Division Two prize worth $81,533. The tickets were purchased from Australind News and Post and Swan View Newsagency.
Ms Hunt said there was close to 750,000 tickets bought across the State for Thursday’s draw.
“When you play Lotterywest games, the money stays in WA,” she said.
“Over the Powerball jackpot roll, more than $14 million has been raised to support the WA community, and next Thursday’s draw is set to raise millions more.”
Tickets in the $100 million Powerball jackpot are available until 6pm Thursday from Lotterywest in-store, online or via the app.
