As the season approaches the end the athletes continue to step up their performances.
This week there were seven new club records and 56 personal bests.
This week four of the eight records were broken in the walks.
The following athletes are to be commended for their efforts:
U8 Devon Lackworthy-Darke in the 700m walk in a time of 5:54:17s (previously 6:07:04).
U10 Jake Darnell in the 1100m walk in a time of 9:50:21s (previously 10:35:88s).
U11 Gemma Buckle in the 1100m walk in a time of 8:06:15s (previously 8:30:06s).
U13 An-ne Pelser in the 1500m walk in a time of 10:57:46s (previously 11:00:82s).
The other records were broken by:
U9 Xavier Stewart in high jump with a jump of 1.13m (previously 1.12m).
U11 Noah Stewart in High Jump with a jump of 1.11m (previously 1.10m).
U11 Toby Carr in the high jump record with a jump of 1.11m.
U13 An-ne Pelser in shot put and breaking her own previous record of 8.52m with a throw of 8.95m.
The following athletes should also be commended for breaking four personal bests: Gemma Buckle and Noah Stewart.
The following athletes broke three personal bests: An-ne Pelser, Sam Kippin, Cooper Saunders, Keith Ambrose, Billy Stewart and Shane Digney.
With three weeks of programs left we would like to remind all athletes to continue to be your best and enjoy these last few weeks and have fun!
A small number of athletes will be competing in Perth in March at the State event; good luck to these athletes.
A reminder that Wednesday is training at 5pm and competition is on Friday from 4.30pm for set-up and a 5pm start.
