Thirty-one athletes hit the track last Friday with impressive results; three new club records and 48 personal bests.
Two athletes went to Perth for the Zones Championships.
Under 11 Ada Gooch performed exceptionally well and broke PBs in all events, making the finals in each: 60m hurdles 11:76s (3rd), triple jump 7.97m (5th), discus 19.10m (3rd), 200m 32.24s (4th) and 100m 15:56s (4th).
U8 Devon Lackworthy-Darke’s age group were competing for medals, Devon performed extremely well: 100m 17.27s (bronze), 200m 36.25s (4th), turbo javelin 14.50m (silver) and discus with a throw of 8.01m.
Club competition: U7 Flynn Darnell broke the discus record with a throw of 20.24m; U9 Xavier Stewart broke his previous long jump record with a jump of 3.98m; U11 Gemma Buckle broke her own record in Javelin with a throw of 24.78m; U8 Keith Ambrose broke PBs in all events; turbo Javelin 7.97m, high jump 0.85m, 500m 2:42:07s and 100m 22.28s.
The following athletes broke three out of a possible four PBs: U7 Taj Nelson - vortex 9.58m, 300m 1:18:22s and 100m 21:97s; U10 Jake Darnell - 800m 3:41:92s, shot put 5.43m and 100m 18:37s; U11 Noah Stewart - javelin 11.38m, triple jump 7.87m and 1500m 6:13:78s; U14 Eboney Whitney - 1500m 6:56:09s, discus 15.07m and 100m 17.00s; U17 Chloe Broadbent - long jump 2.65m, 100m 18:44s, 1500m 9:27:31s.
