Hundreds of people travelled far and wide to attend Alison's Tribute Concert at the Collie Racecourse on Saturday night, March 23 to listen to the line-up of live entertainment.
The night full of country, blues and rock n' roll was held as a tribute to the late Alison Pimm-Spry who passed away 20 years ago in a car accident.
Alison left behind a lot of friends and family, including her two daughters, Lara who was only 12 at the time, and her younger sister Bec was almost seven.
The concert hosted by the Collie Racing Club was also a way to support and raise money for four-year-old Nevaeh Macintyre who was diagnosed with neuroblastoma cancer and also for R U OK? in memory of Luke Jones.
Tim Chitty, the Paul Jane band, Cardiff Rock, Spencer Tracy, and 6220 Band were among the live acts which performed on the night.
Alison's two daughters Lara Burek and Bec also performed together.
Mrs Burek said there were roughly 450 people there on the night.
"I was definitely overwhelmed with the amount of people who supported us and the event," she said.
"A lot of mums friends flew over from other places, and travelled wide to come to come and celebrate so that was beautiful.
"Overall, the concert went well and we were so lucky because we didn't know how we would go with so much happening in town this weekend, but it was a great turnout."
Mrs Burek said about a year she spoke about getting all the musicians, her mum's previous band members and family back together on stage for the 20th anniversary.
"What I wanted to do was anyone who had anything to do with mum I really wanted to bring them back on stage to perform," she said.
"I thought bringing back some of the old bands was a good idea because a lot of them were a very big deal in Collie many years ago.
"They were bands from all different eras so appealed to a lot of people."
Mrs Burek said it was nice that their music family could all be together performing again in tribute of her mum.
She said Tim Chitty was the opening act.
"He is a brilliant musician and he was mum's first boyfriend," she said.
"By nine o'clock I wanted everyone to sit back and enjoy the evening so I got 6220 Band to come in to perform and finish up the evening. They're a good local band from Harvey who we use quite a lot for the races and weddings."
All the money raised on the night will go towards Nevaeh Macintyre for her cancer treatment and to R U OK?
