It has been another busy week for Collie Police with 87 jobs which include 14 family violence incidents.
Police are still investigating a crash which occurred last Wednesday, March 20 on the corner of Simpson and Walsh Streets.
The crash left an a 80 year-old woman with broken ribs, punctured lung, fractured pelvis and vertibre. A passenger of the same car had bruising while the driver of the second car was uninjured.
Senior sergeant Heath Soutar said while inquiries were continuing it appeared the crash was caused due to inattention.
On March 20, about 7.25pm police were called to a burglary report on Atkinson Street.
The incident occurred within a 20 minute timeframe where the offender gained entry through the side window.
However the house alarm was activated and the offenders left.
Senior sergeant Soutar said this was a good example of how home security could deter theft.
On March 21, police received a burglary report from a property on Jones Street.
The incident occurred some time last week where the offenders gained entry by kicking the front door.
They then went from room to room before leaving with a laptop, sunglasses and cash.
On March 22, a 24-year-old female was charged with stealing after she was allegedly found in Red Dot taking various items.
The woman was also recently charged with being armed in a way to cause fear and disorderly behaviour on March 14.
The charges were a result of the woman being in the Woolworths store where she was confronted by staff after she was allegedly walking around consuming food.
When she was confronted, she waved a syringe in the staff member's face.
The woman has been banned from both stores and will appear in court next month.
Police were called to a burglary at the Collie Forrest Motel on March 22.
Offenders broke into the laundry room and damaged tumble driers trying to take money from the machines.
On March 24, a 53 year-old woman was charged with possessing stolen property and three counts of fraud dating back to February 22.
Police allege the woman stole a credit card from a vehicle and bought items with it. She is due to appear in court next month.
A 23 year-old man has been remanded in custody after he was arrested by police on March 24.
Police were called to Moore Street about a disturbance.
As a result the man was charged with being armed in public and assault occasioning bodily harm. He will reappear in court next month.
Police charged a 44 year-old man from an incident on November 1, 2018.
At the time police seized drugs from the man's car and once tested found he had 3 grams of methamphetamine.
