On Thursday May 23 the Collie Scouts, along with parents and distinguished guests, came together to welcome two new leaders into the group.
Jenelle Stone was invested as the Venturer Leader and James Duff as the Joey Leader.
To qualify, both members took part in an in-depth course of eLearning and attended a practical training course at the Scouts WA Gilwell Training Centre.
Ms Stone was also required to undertake further training in Outdoor Skills to gain her qualification as VL.
There were two Joey Scout members, Makayla Elsbury and Barrents Hale were invested, along with our newest Cub Scout Taneisha Hunter, who also has the honour of being our first female cub to join the Collie group in a long time.
The highlight of the night came with Collie Scouts presenting a memento to the people that helped our fundraising efforts with their very kind support.
We would like to thank The Bendigo Bank Collie Branch, The Collie Rotary Club, Collie Lions, and The Coal Miners' Welfare board of WA.
Our special thanks go to the people of Collie who unselfishly supported our fundraising efforts whenever we come out and ask them.
