Single Touch Payroll Presentation: There was a good turn-out for the West Arthur CRC's info session on Single Touch Payroll and all it entails for the June 30 deadline, last week.
The presentation was done by Dale Woodruff from Byfields Business Advisors in Narrogin (pictured with some of the attendees) who gave a comprehensive summary of what the changes will be for small business employers when paying wages in the future and also some information on STP software available.
CWA Bring & Buy: Support the Darkan CWA at their next Bring and Buy stall on June 18 from 10am to 2pm outside Rarebits on Burrows Café.
They need to raise $1000 to get their plumbing fixed and are in financial straits, so need some community support.

Chiropractor in Darkan: The chiropractor's next visit is June 19. Call Chiropractic First in Collie on 9734 4800 for appointments.
Council Meeting: The next Ordinary Council Meeting will be on June 18 in the Council Chambers at 6pm. Members of the community are welcome as an invited guest.

Works and Projects: Maintenance graders will be in central west and south west east areas of the Shire.
Works planned for this fortnight include landscaping at the rear of the Health and Resource Centre, drainage and pruning on Moodiarrup-Changerup Road and pruning on Bokal North, Cuthbert and Horley roads.
The earthworks for the change room renovations at the Darkan Oval have commenced and patio installation and concrete floor will be completed mid month.
Bunbury Bus: The Shire of West Arthur is proposing to provide a bus service from Darkan to Bunbury (dates to be confirmed).
There will be various drop off/pick up locations in Bunbury. The Shire is seeking EOI and can only run the service if there's at least six passengers. Cost - $15 per person.

Monday Movies: Come along to the Hawthorn Room at the West Arthur CRC at 1.30pm on Mondays to watch a classic movie this winter.
This is a free activity with comfy chairs and a cuppa on offer to go with the movie. No need to RSVP, but you can phone 9736 2000 with any enquiries.
Oppy Shop News: The $500 takings for May were forwarded to Multiple Sclerosis WA. June's money will go to Guide Dogs for the Blind.
