Premier Coal has celebrated its extended partnership with The Smith Family, by visiting Wilson Park Primary School's Learning Club.
Premier Coal operations manager Jim Falconer said the company was proud to renew its sponsorship of The Smith Family's Learning for Life program for another three years.
"With over 360 employees in the area, we aim to make a positive difference in the community, therefore, partnering with The Smith Family is a natural fit," he said.
"The Learning for Life Program has provided significant educational support to disadvantaged youth in Collie, helping students go on from high school into further studies, training or employment. Our people are always very responsive to make a donation or assist in the various appeals.
"The charity runs throughout the year and we look forward to working with The Smith Family in the future."
The program provides afternoon tea and activities in a safe, relaxed learning environment, with trained volunteers to support the students.
The Smith Family Collie program co-ordinator Di Blount said it helped with confidence, reading, and comprehension.
"Without the support of our generous corporates, we would not be able to offer this valuable resource to our partner schools," she said.
