Shoplifting incident at Woolworths Collie

Collie Police apprehended a 52-year-old male over an alarming incident at Woolworths on Wednesday, July 10.

The man placed various items in his jacket. He then left the premises, after paying for a trolley full of groceries.

Officers recovered $100+ worth of unpaid items and returned them to the store. Charged with stealing, the man will face Collie Magistrates Court next month.

After turning herself in to police and being searched, a 36-year-old woman was charged with breach of bail and possessing cannabis.

Offenders stole several items from a shed at Fairview Primary School on Thursday, July 11.

On Saturday, thieves smashed a window and stole a make-up bag from a car on Wittenoom St.

That same day, thieves broke in to and graffiti-ed a house on Porter St. The culprits then stole a red Holden Commodore Ute before fleeing the scene.

A wallet - containing cash and credit cards - was stolen from a car on Raymond St, on Monday, July 15.

The cards were used at various locations around Collie. Assisted by CCTV footage, police later apprehended a 22-year-old woman.

While searching for the 22-year-old, police attended an address on Jones St. The officers uncovered 17 cannabis plants.

A 31-year-old received multiple counts of cultivating cannabis.

Sunglasses, cash, clothing, and mobile phone chargers were taken from a vehicle near the Wellington Dam Kiosk.

Earlier this week, thieves shut off the power and entered a home on Mckinley St. The culprits removed a safe and some firearms before leaving the vicinity.

Over the past seven days, police carried out 89 jobs and put five people through the lock-up.
