A 23-year-old woman has been arrested, charged and refused bail after failing to comply with a COVID quarantine direction.
The woman entered Western Australia from Victoria on February 21 and was issued a direction to quarantine for 14 days at an approved premises.
When the woman was required to complete a random G2GNow check-in, the system indicated she was not at her approved self-quarantine location which prompted police to conduct inquiries into her whereabouts.
As a result of these inquiries, police ascertained and will allege the woman breached her direction on a number of occasions including to visit her boyfriend.
The woman was charged with five counts of 'Failed to comply with a direction' and appeared in Perth Magistrates Court on 27 February 2021.
She has been remanded in custody and is next due to appear in the Perth Magistrates Court on 8 March 2021.
