Looks like Western Australia's summer has ended abruptly with heavy rain expected for the first week of autumn.
Possible storms and showers are forecast between Monday and Thursday over most parts of the state, with the Bureau of Meteorology WA saying it could be enough to achieve the month's average rainfall in a few days.
Western Power has crews on standby to respond to any outages and restore power as quickly as possible with thunderstorms predicted over coming days.
The rain looks set to ease by Friday.
The wet weather wasn't seen this early last year, with sunny skies and 30-degree days on the forecast for the South West during the first week of March 2020.
Despite more rainfall than this time last year, most of WA shows no significant shift towards a wetter three months.
