Community members have recovered items stolen from two backpackers at Black Diamond last week.
According to Collie Police, thieves smashed the rear window of a van before removing the victims' bags on March 28.
The bags contained clothing, passports, credit cards, and personal items. The bags were later found in nearby bushland, with cash and credit cards still missing.
Collie Police Senior Sergeant Heath Soutar praised the community members who helped to locate the victims' property.
The Collie community also bound together to help the backpackers throughout the ordeal.
The two backpackers wrote a letter thanking the Collie community for their kind and generous hospitality.
In the early hours of March 28, a woman was assaulted by multiple individuals on Rogers Road. Witnesses have been urged to contact police.
Around 2am on March 31, thieves smashed a car window before removing various items from the vehicle. The car belonged to a Collie Senior High School teacher. At the time of the incident, the woman was working to clean up after the Year 12 Ball.
Also on March 31, a vehicle was stolen from Black Diamond. The vehicle was later involved in a police pursuit on Coalfields Highway, before being used in a series of burglaries in Bunbury.
On Sunday morning, officers uncovered a taser during a traffic stop on Park Street. Police are continuing their investigations into the matter.
At 1.35pm on Monday afternoon, police seized cannabis plants and cannabis material whilst searching a Bunbury Street residence.
A 74-year-old man was charged with cultivating a prohibited plant and possessing a prohibited drug. He will appear in court later this month.
A 26-year-old male has been charged over burglary and stealing offences from March 10. He will appear in court at a later date.
A 40-year-old man was charged for being armed in a way that may cause fear. The man threatened two men with an axe on February 18 in Porter Street. He will appear in court later this month.
Collie Police attended 90 jobs over the past seven days, with 11 people going through the lock-up. Police also recorded 12 family violence incidents.
